But what good would honest credentials have been since Governor Blanco refused to ask for help and the law says they cannot go in until they receive a request from the state's governor. Things were much better organized in Mississippi because the governor did the right thing at the right time.

There's no excuse for it in a position carrying that kind of responsibility. I think the powers-that-be that hired him should be held accountable for not verifying his credentials, as well.
