Re: What is wrong with people? REALLY! OMG

Phyllis doesn't "know" that anything was done to harm the children. Until there are court hearings and all the facts are in place, everyone is only getting what the media is putting out. I believe that every child should have food, clothing, shelter, and love. When there are incontinent people living in any place, including nursing homes, shelters, homes, etc there will be, at times, the smell of urine. We've discussed the beds that are legal, and until the court decides what they were using was illegal, I'm not blaming anyone for anything. No one here has the information to decide that this home was not in their best interests, only heresay. Only the investigators and judges can do that. None of us here are either. If they are guilty of mistreating the children, then the courts will have the say on what should be done.

Which brings us to another point. If what you read is really true....where did their living money come from for those 11 children. I didn't know you could afford to raise kids and not work. Must be independently wealthy I guess. The more you respond the more you're giving reasons the parents shouldn't have had 11 disabled children, truly. They didn't work, they couldn't keep an eye on them, they didn't have insurance for them, wow...somebody dropped the ball in letting these parents have all these kids and the parents should be even more ashamed for seeking out more and more. You make a great case against the parents, Phyllis, doing my "work" for me. Thanks.

Dani

I'm trying (unsuccessfully, obviously) to stay out of this becuase
it's gone beyond ridiculous...

But as far as I can tell, Phyllis thinks whatever was done to those
kids (or any other kids who are difficult to place, apparently) was
okay as long as it wasn't as bad as anything they might have somewhere
else. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it seems she believes they ought
to be grateful for three squares a day and a roof over their head -
for that you can overlook the smell of urine, a bare mattress on the
floor, and being caged like an animal every night.
