Re: Bird Flu

No one even knows yet if there is going to be a pandemic. The flu shots we get now were created from the first bird flu strain so there is some (although not a lot) of protection in the vaccine available.

Being concerned enough to get a flu shot is wise, tearing one's hair out because someone says the military is going to shoot us is ridiculous. The flu, for now, is confined to chickens. How many live chickens do we handle in our day to day lives. It would take approximately two years to mutate, and only six months to a year to make vaccine available (according to a news story we saw the other night).

The last flu shot I got made me in-bed sick for three days, didn't get one last year because my husband had just broken his leg and I couldn't afford to spend another three days in bed, and probably will get one this year. Why worry about things you can't change?

This is just the "NEWS" story, but the military itself is being told in no
uncertain terms just how that is going to be enforced, and how it is to be
carried out! They are not just going to be saying please keep behind the
line, but are being instructed to shoot to kill any disruptive individuals
which will motivate other civilians to comply
