Seems like it's then bound to happen to anyone who gets a "cult" following. They may start off slow and only local recognition, then it grows and people say "X said this and X says that and X thinks you should.." almost impossible not to get a god complex.

He was okay 20 years ago, but I think over the years he has started to fall under the category of people who didn't follow the example of the person Jesus said was the greatest person on the face of the earth -- that he must decrease and Jesus must increase. It's really sorta sad.
