Razors.

I use a razor until it cuts me, scratches me, or is so dull it won't do
anything. I buy disposable razors, but I don't use them once and toss
them. My sister says she does and acted like I was just unbelievably
filthy for using one twice. I stubbornly maintain that this is not
filthy. Okay, the way I do it may be. Brian has been dead for almost 2
years and his razor is still on the edge of the bathtub. I use it from
time to time. Yes. So okay.
What got us talking was a friend on a non-MT forum who has been through
a hell of an ordeal.
She shaved under her arms. Had a little bump under there. The bump got
bigger and bigger. It turned into a horrible abscess. This went on for a
time and then about 3 weeks ago, she sat back on a hard chair and this
horrible abscess on her shoulder blade burst. It was such an amazingly
horrible deal that she went to the doctor.
Since that day, she has ahd three surgeries. Her incision goes from the
scapula underneath the arm and tail of the breast. It is 10 cm long and
5 cm deep on her breast. I have seen the pictures of the wound and man,
is it ever terrible.
She goes to a wound care specialist who cuts down to viable tissue -
with no anesthesia of any kind. I'm afraid she is going to fool around
and die! That is the most horrible looking thing I've ever seen.
Her doc told her that you should clean your blade every time you use
it. To me, this means swishing it in the bathwater! But it was a dirty
blade that got her in trouble.
