Everybody is entitled to their own opinions, and when a subject
seemingly as broad as this one comes up, there will be disagreements.
That is not necessarily a bad thing because it spices up the NG.
RM merely stated that she enjoys what she does, the freedom it gives
her, and she enjoys and appreciates an occasional pat in the back.
Others stated that it is only a job/work, and as long as they are doing
a good job and get paid for it, then that's the end of it.
RM's feelings and pronouncements can probably be elucidated by Abraham

My opinion is that MT is merely a job/work ..... a means towards an
end.
The "end" or objective is different for everybody. It can be as varied
and mundane as earning a few bucks each month to help with household
finances, or it can be rather idealistic.
In the end, everybody is correct.
