Can you help with these questions?

I spoke to a friend of mine yesterday. She was feeling rather discouraged.
She has been trying to recruit some accounts and nothing has worked. She
has sent out mailings as well as canvassed doctor's offices and has
presented business cards to everyone she knows. She said the main problem
that she is having is that everyone she speaks to already has an MT or
service that they are using. She presented two questions that I wasn't able
to answer.

One, how can she reach offices that don't have an MT, perhaps a new
physician starting out. And two, why would anyone that already has somebody
consider switching over to her.

The second question seemed a little touchy to me because I too would hate
the thought of taking a job from someone else. But in any case, I didn't
know the answer to either question as I got mine through word of mouth and
mailings.

She says she is working so hard and coming up with nothing and said there
has to be a better way than just waiting for it to happen through word of
mouth. The only thing I could offer was to ask around on some of the MT
boards for her. Would any of you by any chance have any answers or
suggestions to either of her questions?
