Hi Rae,

Every time I see you post about horse riding, I think of an anesthesiologist
I used to work with. His wife was an avid rider. I remember her at a
Christmas party, where she was the funniest person there, keeping us all in
stitches. On day at work, he got a call saying that his wife had been in an
accident and fallen off her horse. She had massive brain damage and was like
an 8-year-old after that. Couldn't be left alone at home, etc. Who knows
what could have been prevented had she worn a helmet.
