You certainly could, and are protected by that, but there's then the hassle
of initiating the chargeback and so on if need be. PayPal has lots of
nightmare stories too when it comes to problems with larger transactions.
But PayPal certainly is the easier way to go, as long as things go well.
Personally, I would use an escrow service after the reviews I've read.
