Maybe she's getting to point is that decubitus probably isn't correctly used alone. It means "lying down" I'd think if a doctor dictated decubiti and you were allowed to edit it would be correctly transcribed as decubitus ulcers.
By common use one would think "decubitus" was the correct term, but I don't believe it really is
