Again. Everything is tumbling down around my head.

Why, oh why, would a hitherto perfectly operating fax machine suddenly
decide not to accept a fax?

Yes, I spent 30 minutes on line with the HP expert. Yes, I followed the
cord down to the end, and *no, it was not plugged in.* What a dope.

I plugged it in, it rang, but it won't accept the fax. No settings have
been changed. What could I be missing?
