Anne, I did the exact same thing as you described, losing a business
phone line in the process and enjoying the savings from that. It felt
great though, to have it all work properly, including the caller ID,
answering machine, distictive ring on the fax, all on one personal
line. Ahhh sweet success. One wonderful thing is I have, for free,
caller ID on the fax. You can tell the junk faxes right away if you
bother to check them. I turn off my power on the fax when I see one
coming my way which these days is very rare.
