The DOL is apparently doing some research and providing information about
this lately. I haven't taken the time to read it at this point, but it's
interesting.

I also wonder about extern and internships that are provided with some
school programs and if an apprenticeship could be or is an extension of
same. It's something to think about. I'm sure there are ways within the
IRS/DOL rules to make this work.

Another day when I have copious amounts of free time (love the words
copious and amounts in the same sentence), I'd like to learn more.
