That is so very true. There are lots of things that aren't fair, aren't right, aren't ethical. My husband and I are going through one of those things (very stressful, indeed) right now, but no president/administration is to blame for it. And actually, WE are not even to blame for it. Someone got a bug up his *** one day that impacts us, and so now WE have to deal with that.

We just do what we can to fight those things, live with them, or work around them some other way and hopefully we make the right decisions in order to come out on top.

This is a hard lesson I've had to learn in my life: *** happens--and sometimes, it's NOBODY's fault, but you live through it the best way you can. Blaming people and carrying all that isn't doing anybody any good.

So back to the original point. Were you living paycheck to paycheck during the Clinton administration? I was. Do I blame him for it? No, and I can't even stand the smarmy jerk.

When all is said and done, a president has very little bearing on the economy. He is a little dude driving a big train that takes a long time to turn or stop. If you don't believe THAT, you might want to take an economics class at your local community college (you could probably get a Pell grant, so it wouldn't actually cost you anything).

It's been quoted and requoted so many times that I forget who originally said it, but this sticks with me: Carrying resentment is likely swallowing poison and expecting the other person to die.
