Killing livestock isn't done for the "fun" of it. It's somebody's job.

But I'll bet cows and sheep and chickens feel it's murder too. I'm not a hunter, but since we lived on a farm, knew several. They never drank before or during hunting, and never dropped anything they couldn't eat. I don't approve of hunting scared animals either, but, like you, see the reason for it at times..

.?I don't like the idea of killing helpless critters, but I do know that there are valid reasons - herd thinning, etc. When people either eat what they shoot or make sure someone else who needs it can, it's one thing. Killing for the sake of killing bothers me and it's worse when the poor animals are on a farm or something for that reason and have no chance to get away at all. That isn't sportsmanship - it's murder.
