sort of file created and chosen daily to which it should download to
avoid any of the files with just the numbers already preassigned
getting lost amongst the daily buildup of the downloads. Still have to
rename the files to reflect the dates of dictation with it though. I
love that you can put the dictator's initials on their recorder, but it
would be even more time saving if it could somehow be programmed to
choose a date to be assigned as the file name versus that chronological
number.
I don't rename the files on my end, I just plop them in a folder with the
name of the date of upload and the doctor. That keeps me having the
original names in case the office ever loses track of anything or thinks
something isn't turned in. I have had duplicate numbers but that is
usually rare and isn't too confusing when/if the doc has set up his
recorder with his name or initials. The duplicates always have something
like 2200056_1, so I know which one is a repeat number, etc.
