What gets me is that, if indeed he was hunting without a license, he broke the law. Period. End of story. Heck, isn't that what all the brouhaha was about with Clinton lying on the stand about Monica Lewinski? While people could usually understand why he'd done it, he broke the law and thus was a villain. Not a lot of difference that I can see.
FWIW, I think both situations have been blown out of proportion. Although I admit that I did get a chuckle out of our local radio station's rendition of "Cheney's Got A Gun"... <G>
