Re: OT: AARP

((I know when we found out what size mortgage the bank said we could
afford it was scary. Did NOT want to go as high as we could just because
we could.))

Rae, that reminds me of a boss I used to have. When I was looking for a new
car, he kept pushing me to get a Mercedes Benz, saying I could afford it.
Maybe I could, but can you really imagine me in a car like that or even
needing one?

Nineteen years later, I still have the smaller economy car I bought instead
while I heard he just filed for bankruptcy. Oh yeah, this is the same man
who told me it was dumb to make extra payments on my mortgage to pay it off
early, which happened back in 1995.
