Wow, it sounds like you almost had a tornado! I hope the tree just landed
ON your roof and not IN it.
We had tremendous winds on Friday, and there were a few times I was afraid
my roof would lift off. The wind here was so strong that it opened the
glass doors on my fireplace about an inch, even though the damper was
closed! My poor dog, who weighs about 15 pounds, had a terrible time trying
to balance on 3 legs to do his business, and I was half afraid he would get
blown away.

We had an unbelievable concentration of winds of concentric circles up
here, very unusal for this area. My next door neighbor's tree fell on
our roof, and many trees were downed. That was followed by several
inches of snow so it's hard to remove the downed trees. I heard that
Syracuse lost power in major areas, but we were okay. The computers
went totally wacky though I've never seen such bizarreness, I just shut
down. Today they're fine. Fortunately we had the presence of mind to go
take a roll of pictures of the damage, (good thing we did before the
snow came) and we were advised also to put in a police report for not
only the damage but the neglect issue (we've been asking the guy to get
rid of the trees). Tough day yesterday in Upstate.
