Re: OT: AARP

I don't think that's what she's saying, Jeannie. I think Phyllis is
basically saying, "if you can't afford to pay for things with cash, then
live without them."

I think people
should live wherever they "want" to live, but they shouldn't complain
then if they've over extended.

What about those who live where they do not want to and are responsible by
every stretch of even your imagination and still cannot make ends meet?
Would you suggest that they dump their house and live on the streets to
meet their financial obligations of medical care and food and clothing?
You are really nauseating me this morning. I had to skip so many posts of
yours because it really turned my stomach. IMO, you sound so much like
sour grapes that it isn't even funny. You sound so jealous of those who
do
have nice things in life it isn't even funny. You appear justify your
jealousy by calling them irresponsible and careless and saying they don't
have their priorities straight. That is nauseating, Phyllis. You say
that
they want things that their parents had to work 30 years for. What about
those who have worked their hard 30 years for things? You still seem
upset
that there are people who can afford a nice house in a nice neighborhood
and <gasp> a new car. Your resentment towards that really is sickening.
Don't begrudge someone what they have worked hard for and just because
they
have a big house does not mean that they do not have the right to complain
about the property taxes. Many people bought their houses MANY years ago
or were passed down through the generations in this family and those
people
who are now in the houses cannot afford the property taxes. The same
family has had the same home for years and they cannot afford their
property taxes. Are they irresponsible too?
