Marsha, I'm not a fan of the British sale of their company, or our government feeling the new company (government or not) has been vetted enough to satisfy any doubts, but what do we really know about Dubai? Is it really unstable. What have we heard about it? Except for Michael Jackson moving there, I'd never heard of it before.
While I wasn't enthusiastic either when I first heard it, it's like everything else. You have to wait for all the facts to come out before making a judgement. The entire UAE is being judged, not just the company buying the British business.
By the way, three Jordanian men in Toledo were arrested as suspected terrorists, and here I thought we were so far inland we'd be out of their target. We do have a university though with a great number of foreign students and one of them was a student there. The government just shut down a charity here in Toledo (Kind Hearts) because they are suspected of funding terrorists. They say they aren't and can prove it. Will see how it falls in place.
Kind Hearts - reminds me of Heartland, which is owned by India I believe. I think Toledo and the surrounding area is becoming an extension of Dearborn, Michigan, which has a huge population of Lebanese and middle eastern people.
