Yes, but if you don't get the spellings of names at the time, it
can be an incredible nuisance to get them later.

All the CR has to do is let the party requesting the transcript that
she needs the spellings to complete it, and they'll take care of it.
Interrupting to ask for spelling is entirely inappropriate. The CR
should be entirely invisible in the verbatim report of proceedings.
