I'm not sure just a long cord would slow down connection - unless maybe it
were damaged. I wouldn't be surprised if the wireless jack might.


Actually, I ran a long phone cord around the room to set up my mother's
internet and my husband told me that could contribute to slowness on a
traditional modem. Not being a techie, I couldn't tell you why, though.
