A priest, bishop, and lawyer all died and went to heaven.
St Peter invited the priest in and brought him to his new accomodations.
Very pleasant. Lovely view of the stars and angels. Good books and music.
St Peter next invited the bishop in. He had all of the same things that
the priest had but he also had some paintings and a superb wine.
St Peter next brought the lawyer in. He had everything the bishop had plus
dance floor, jacuzzi, beautiful virgins to be in attendance, etc. His
accomodations were fabulous. Sheer heaven.
Later on, both the priest and bishop approached St Peter and asked, "St
Peter ... our accomodations are lovely and we don't mean to sound
ungrateful, but how come the lawyer received so much more than we did? We
have been true men of prayer for our entire lives.
St Peter looked at both and said, "Priests and bishops are a dime a dozen,
but this is the first lawyer we've ever had."

LOL, well, you can refer all lawyers to me then, b/c I love the plain
English. I do sit and gawk sometimes at the stuff they try to do to get
over on the opposition tho. Geeze louise.

My name is Romy (pronounced Roamie), and I work at home in Upstate NY. I
started out in 1978 with a "typing business" on my selectric. In 1986 I
went Macintosh. In 1995 I was President of my local Macintosh Users
Group and it was a lot of fun because nobody could believe "Romy" (the
girl) was president. Anyway, I've invested a lot in my equipment and
customizing it for my medical practice.
I wouldn't touch legal transcription if my life depended on it. In
fact, lawyers surely aren't my favorite people in the world! In
theyellow pages under "Transcription" I get lots of calls requesting
medical transcription AND legal, but I always pass on the legal.
I have a couple of hospital accounts (one being a psych account) as
well as a place for Addictions in the Utica area and those notes teach
me a lot about that world. I still pick up tapes in town because at age
53, I could retire if I wanted to, but I enjoy being active, and
besides, who can beat the hourly rate I get doing transcription. Not
only that but if the phone lines go down, I can still work.
We had an incredible lightening storm here yesterday and that freaks me
out the most. We have a lot of trees in our backyard and I'm always
afraid of trees being struck by lightening or a storm and falling down
on our house. In fact last month that is exactly what happened.
You'll be welcome here, we love meeting new people!
