Mostly lurking and often ignoring threads that get too long and
controversial, I have a question to ask.
For those of you with very strong beliefs on certain subjects, is it
always black and white or is there ever a shade of gray?
For me, everything is a shade of gray. It all depends on the
circumstances.
However, I've noticed that there are some who post to smt who feel
strongly about certain things and there don't seem to be any gray
areas, no room for individual circumstances. Everything is black or
white, right or wrong. Am I reading them wrong or is this really the
way they are?
Do most people know exactly where they stand on any given topic? I
used to be like that but as I get older, I've become aware that the
world is not always black and white.
Am I in the minority? Am I wishy-washy or, as some politicians are
called, a waffler?
I don't know if I envy or pity those who see no gray.
