So, it comes down to "works" after all. I was taught very rigid rules. When I see others who feel even more rigid rules apply, it is to my horror I think "What if they are right?" A woman can't wear a man's clothing. Guess that means I'd have to give up my horses. It isn't practical to ride horseback in skirts, especially in the wintertime. Unfortunately this is the way my mind works and I will never be able to stop thinking this way. Trying to make a commitment to a belief system would drive me insane with guilt in about five minutes - Should I do this? Is that wrong? How can you be sure?

How about the verses that teach that the mark of a believer is obedience and love for the brethren and the verses that teach that nobody who conscientiously/habitually/consistently practices sin can be a child of God?
