In a recent discussion with a QA person who impressed the hell out of me
(and that's not easy to do) I was told grades are arabic, stages are
numerals. I'll email her and see if she has a reference to back it up.

Hello all! I have a style question that I hope someone of you experts
can help me with. I need to know when you are transcribing a grade of
vesicoureteral reflux how the numbers are transcribed, Arabic or Roman?
I transcribed "grade 2 vesicoureteral reflux" and my ass is over the
coals now. I tried googling but I cannot find anything definitive.
