Re: For the Uninsured

I will be eligible for benefits next month on my current job. Through the
service it will cost me $180 a month and there are no local hospitals or
docs. Closest are 20+ miles away and the one hospital is one I wouldn't
take my rabbit to where he bleeding to death. Most of the policies I can
get on my own have such high deductibles in addition to the 250+ monthly
price tag. At this point, I guess I'm going to stay uninsured.

Did you hear about the Massachusetts (sp) law they are trying to pass?
Within I think 5 years or something, EVERY citizen is REQUIRED to have
insurance. If not, they will be fined! How do you tell someone making
$5.15 an hour, supporting a family barely, that now they have to spend $800
a month to insure their family???

Sends a letter to your congress people.

What annoys me is not that I can't afford insurance, it's that I can't
buy it at any price. I (and my husband) live in the land of the
UNinsurable.
