Recuperating from surgery with the help of the Dragon

On Wednesday I had surgery to repair a torn right shoulder labrum.
I've been in a sling since then and needless to say not being able to
type with my right hand has been a real challenge. However, it's been
fun to see what the capabilities of my Dragon 8 Standard speech
recognition software really are. From the moment I opened Internet
Explorer to the default home page which is Google, until this point, I
have not yet touched the keyboard. Everything I'm doing takes quite a
while, because this is not a particularly fast computer, but the
accuracy is pretty amazing. Of course, I have spent quite a bit of
time training the program, which is the key to success with any speech
recognition application. When the program does make a mistake, I'm
able to correct it totally with voice commands without touching the
keyboard.
I realize this is nothing new, but it has been interesting doing it
"for real" and not just for fun.
