Take it to the contracting to paint someone's house level.

You work for Joe. Joe contracts to paint Jill's house. You are asked to do
the painting. Jill tells Joe she wants blue paint with white trim and that
she wants the ceiling textured. You are a painter. You say screw that; I'm
gonna paint it pink with feathered designs on the ceiling? No. You are
going to paint it blue and white and texture the ceiling because the
client, not Joe, not you, wants is that way. It's still painting the
ceiling. You're still using your brushes and arranging to get the paint, or
maybe you're using Joe's paint. You do what the client wants.
