I think people should be outraged. Bet you'd be - but only if it
happened to you. Then I'll bet you'd be less than willing to pay the
price for the rest of society. All I can say is WOW.

I have sympathy for people who get caught in situations like the one
you describe. The only way to ensure that no mistakes are made,
though, is to have no laws, and thus no errors in the application. I
think you need to go beyond simply WOW, but you are sort of just stuck
there.
