I don't think it is disrespectful - that association with 911 being
emergency number means something. My DH's birthday is sept 11


So is my wife's.

We really could not celebrate her birthday on the day it occurred, and that
day sure cast a pall on every birthday since. I imagine for everyone born
on that day.
