Poor little birdies would come looking for a meal and find an empty feeder... <EG>
Do your birds have red chests? When I started feeding birds in AZ, the feeders were just swarmed with them, and I'd never even SEEN a house finch before I put out the feeders!
Wait'll the doves figure out how to balance on the perches and feed directly from the feeder. You'll have to fill it twice a day!

Bambi, don't start feeding birds! We put out a feeder a couple of weeks ago and now I am starting to regret it..
I think they are primarily house finches. They empty one or more feeders a day. We now also have six doves feeding on the ground below the bird feeder. I bought 5# of feed Tuesday, but will have to go back to the bird store today. We won't make it through the weekend
I would like to just quit feeding them, but I would probably feel guilty.
