Containers become harder and harder to open. I have no children. I have no
grandchildren. Unless my dogs and cats can figure how to get into the
containers I have NO NEED for this nonsense. When my children were little I
taught them NOT to open containers, and I put dangerous ones out of their
reach. I have severe arthritis and I think my needs are as important as
those with children. Some of the so-called non-childproof caps are still
hard to open. I wonder how many injuries have been CAUSED to adults of all
ages by having to try to cut apart some of those plastic
wrappings/containers?

For days, I've been trying to open a container of Lysol's Cling stuff
for cleaning toilets. Nowhere in the directions does it say to snip
off the top of the red thing on the cover. My wrist is sore from
following the directions that simply say to squeeze the ridges on the
cover while turning it counterclockwise. Nothing!
This morning I took a knife to that blasted cover, hacking at it to get
the green stuff out. Still nothing!
Finally, a slip of the knife near the top of the cap cut off the top of
the red thing, and out poured green goo all over my desk.
Does EVERYTHING have to be made childproof or with incomplete
directions for dummies like me? Couldn't they have add one tiny
sentence to the direction? "First, cut off the tip of the red thingie
on the top of the cap."
