Re: OC-AAMT Webinar Presentation

Well, given that they don't seem to comprehend what it means to communicate online (all the *real* MTs network face-to-face, donchaknow), maybe they've never considered how lame it makes them look to have such a scattered, hit-and-miss presence. There are now only 1 or 2 of them posting at MTC because they didn't like having to take the heat and explain themselves, so questions like Jeannie's will continue to hang there to emphasize their lack of regard for what anyone outside their little clique thinks.

You'd think they'd confine themselves to the safe, little world they've established for themselves over in AAMTland and wait for us to come to them. <G> (For those who don't know, they shitcanned the entire forum to eliminate the troublemakers and now require users to register with their real name as ID.)

Honestly, this is the only so-called "professional" group I've ever seen who mastered the art of making themselves a nonentity to this degree. They actually seem to look for ways to insulate themselves from potential members, lest they have to integrate new concepts. I fully expect it won't be long now before the standard reaction to them is "AAMwho?"--unless, of course, they succeed in their plans for a lamearse name change. I believe Indian MTs are the ones going for the CMT, more than anyone, so they might even find themselves on the bullet train to obsolescence because US MTs won't have a clue who they are or what they stand for--assuming anyone has a clue NOW.

If we were weren't such a disorganized and overworked bunch, I'd root for someone to figure out an alternative. Whose idea was it to part from AHIMA to begin with, anyway?

Yes, I asked and No, she hasn't answered. I am not surprised though. I would imagine they just pop in, post their "ad" and never come back until it's time to post another. However, I had posted questions on the old AAMT forums and MTDesk that go blatantly unanswered, so I really didn't expect much.
