Thought I'd kilt me a shih tzu.


I was ironing a pair of pants yesterday. Grizzly, as always, was right
next to me, over to my right. I looked over at him and he seemed to be
having a seizure. He was shaking all over, looked like he was going to
throw up, but mainly shaking so hard I expected him to fall out any
second.

OMG, I thought, now I have to drop $300 on him, because they can't even
LOOK at him with all that hair (he has to have general endotracheal
anesthesia to be clipped). GUH-RATE.

I tried to soothe him, and I bent down to pet him and he only shook
harder. Poor thing! What did he eat! Oh no! I've kiled him!!

I took one step backward - right into a pile of dog crap with my bare
foot.

This was no seizure. This was him, at ankle level, watching me, knowing
I was fixing to step in dog crap, and him with no language skills.

"OMG, she nearly did it that time. No! Mom! No! Step FORWARD! Aw, there
she goes, I've had it now."
