BCP question

While I'm waiting for a return call from my gyn, thought I'd post my
question here. My BCPs list a warning to "tell your physician if you
are going to be taking any long plane trips." Well, since I'll be
flying San Francisco-Atlanta (5 hours) and then Atlanta-Milan (8 hours
or so), I figured this qualifies as a long trip. It doesn't say
anything about what to do about it; just say to notify your doc.
Anybody with gyn knowledge have any ideas about the risks? (I know
about drinking lots of water, getting up and moving around, etc., but
wondering if there's anything else I should know.) Thanks.
Margie
