The Olympus DS 2000 has two recording speeds, standard and long play.

Karen, you need to adjust the speed when you play it. I could be
wrong, but all of my DSS files come ONE speed. I don't think there is
other speed. When they supercompress some of their files on their new
DSS recorders it isn't as crisp but the speed is the same.
