Re: Digital Files - How can you tell what speed?

Open your Olympus software.
Highlight a file.
Right click.
Click on properties.
Select the "detail" tab.
About half way down it will say "standard mode recording" (if it was
recorded at standard speed).

Karen, you need to adjust the speed when you play it. I could be
wrong, but all of my DSS files come ONE speed. I don't think there is
other speed. When they supercompress some of their files on their new
DSS recorders it isn't as crisp but the speed is the same.

I know you can adjust the speed when you play it, but *surely* there is
some way you can find out what speed he used when he recorded the file,
isn't there? The Olympus digital recorder I have is the DS-2000, which
isn't one of the latest, but I know you can record at two speeds on that
one.

I really think he's got it recording on long play, even though he says he
isn't. I just can't find where I can tell on my end, and it's driving me
nuts.

Thanks!
