Re: SBC DSL users?

Well, lo and behold, after hours and hours and hours on the telephone
with every different tech type they have, somebody pushed a button this
morning and my line will not support the new high-speed stuff.

Because of that, they're putting me on an RT - whatever that is - at no
extra charge. It is supposed to be faster.

Hell, all I wanted to do was yell at the phone company for their
deceptive business practices (telling somebody "Oh, yes, you can use
unlimited LD for work" when it really isn't true, and then pulling the
rug out from under them two years later.

I was fine with my DSL speed. As Uncle Scotty used to say, "If you've
never had gravy, grease and grits ain't bad" and I'd never had gravy.

I have lost two days' work between that and a corrupt something or
other in my computer.
