Gray, Queen, The Who, Jim Croce, Paul Simon, Niel Diamond, The Eagles -- I

MODE OF TRANSPORTATION: 1992 GMC Jimmy lowered! Wishing it was a hybrid!

SMOKES? Never

HOBBIES: Reading, movies and pestering politicians.

SPORTS: I don't participate in any but I LOVE football!

HOW DO I SPEND A RAINY DAY: DUH, this is Washington that is almost every
day, it is nothing special around here. Now sunny days .......

BACKGROUND

HOMETOWN: I'm an Air Force brat I have none. Born in Ft. Richardson,
Alaska (as Elmendorf had no hospital and the Air Force was - in 1948 - part
of the Army Air Corp at the time). Only stations I remember were 4 years in
Tampa - big bugs and muggy heat - Florida), 3 great years in England, 3
years in Madison, Wisconsin and then we were stationed at McChord here in
Lakewood where daddy eventually retired. So I guess this is my home (I was
14 when we moved here).

TYPE OF CHILDHOOD: Good, hated moving but wasn't all that bad we did get
to live in England and we didn't live in base housing but in a very cool
village in a huge 400 year old house called Barrister House in a tiny
village! It was neat!!

EDUCATION: 2 years at CC college no degree misc. paralegal classes and
medical transcription.

OCCUPATION: Medical and legal transcription, mostly just medical.

ORGANIZATIONS: Northwest Independent Transcriptionist Society (we only
meet 4 times or less a year) and Lakewood Coalition of Concerned Citizens
(we never meet it is telephone and word of mouth and perhaps a few get
together and meet -- some don't want to be "known" members) interesting
group.

ACHIEVEMENTS: Raising a wonderful son who is making a great impact on the
world (gee, what a bragging mom).

DISEASES/HANDICAPS: Allergies and asthma (I would like to kill the
inventor of Downey and scented detergents).

FAMILY

MOTHER: Yes 82 and living in Boise with older sister.

FATHER: Yes died in 2003 miss him immensely -- He and mom are two of the
best members of the Greatest Generation.

SIBLINGS: Three sisters! The best! One in Boise, one here in Lakewood,
one in Steilacoom right next to Lakewood. One works at a court reporting
firm and one works at our accountant's office. The one in Boise is
semi-retired from medical transcription.

TRAITS: Stubborn. Cannot be swayed very easily. Willing to listen,
however, but not likely to sway my opinion unless there is STRONG evidence
to change my mind, and if there is I will change my mind -- actually have
done that. Will kill anyone who hurts my mother or my family.

GREATEST FEAR(S): Losing my sight. (I agree with Bam on this one) For
someone who types for a living you would think it would be my hands, but my
eyesight is my biggest fear. I guess because it is a possibility in our
family. Lots of eyesight problems.

MOST AT EASE WHEN: My sisters, my good friends Bev and Jean.

MOST ILL AT EASE WHEN: Liars, crooks who are being believed. They scare
me to death.

SOFT SPOT: Animals and some children.

OPTIMIST OR PESSIMIST? Pessimist unfortunately, but then I'm never
disappointed and almost always surprised! :)

INTROVERT OR EXTROVERT? This is hard to answer. I think I am an
extrovert but can be an introvert in some situations. It all depends.

MOTIVATIONS: Need for money. Otherwise I am not very motivated to do
anything.

SKILLED AT: I'm a hell of a letter writer for something I believe in or
want done or am pissed about. Now, if I could just sit down and write that
book I want to write.

UNSKILLED AT: Damn near everything. I want to sketch -- I know I could
if I tried but I get too frustrated and won't stick with it. Probably
because DH is so dang good!

HABITS: Procrastination (me too Bam) I seem to work better under pressure
and last minute (which I claim to hate but I do it all the time).

REGIONAL DIALECT: None, I'm a left coaster we have no accents. (VBG)

EMOTIONAL STABILITY: Oh, please -- one of these days I fear my
depression will stay and I won't pop out of it! Otherwise I guess it's
stable. I'm curious besides mostly introverted are we all prone to
depression?

ATTITUDES/PREJUDICES: None I was a military brat I think it's hard to be
prejudice when you move around and become friends with everyone.

MARRIED/DIVORCED/SINGLE: Yes 36 years at least 2 good ones.

CHILDREN? 1 neat son -- didn't dare have any others!

HOW DO I REACT IN A CRISIS? I will take charge if no one else does and
fall apart later.

HOW DO I FACE PROBLEMS? Depends on the problem, usually I'm a "snap out of
it" person.

HOW DO I REACT TO CHANGE? Like a cat -- I don't freaking like it. Even
if it is for the better.
