Re: What does one do...

Heck, Kathy, I brought a big box of that junk with me through two moves, during one of which I got rid of most of my other earthly belongings! I don't know why it's so difficult to get rid of that stuff.

Then again, this comes from a person who a week ago pitched all the info I'd had pertaining to an account I hadn't worked on in six years (including samples from difficult dictators), then two days later was asked to work that account again. Murphy works overtime with that kind of thing... <G>

...with all of the cords, CDs, misc. equipment, etc that one accumulates over the years? I am cleaning out my office and I have a *ton* of this stuff that I don't even know what they are but I know that *the very second* I toss one out I will need it the next day.

I have my computers made locally, and I always get a box of "crap" with it - all of the installation CDs for the programs, etc, and I have no clue what to do with them. I know that I have program installation CDs from about 4 computers ago, but I'm not *sure* that it's for an old computer or for my current computer. Then there's all the little instruction booklets. I even pulled out a neat looking little electronic item with a cord connected to it that looks very interesting, and I vaguely remember using it at some point years ago, but *no clue* what it is.

Tomorrow my computer guy is coming to fix my router, and do you think I can find the little box and CD and stuff that came with the router??? Oh no.... Can find everything else under the sun, but not that.

Any solution? Do I just need to be more organized and label everything when it comes into my office, and then have regular clean-outs? Does anyone else have this problem? It is driving me crazy.
