Re: The new 40?

My interest in that department died about 10 years ago, seriously. It just
died. No interest, nothing excites it. When I see an actor that I like I
think I would like to talk about things going on in the world, poverty,
global warming, the war, -- never do I see, think, desire anything else
from anyone. It is just not there. It is dead, gone, caput. And I don't
miss it. Loved it when it was here -- but am fine without it. I am not even
that much of a huggy person anymore -- it kind of bothers me (that I think
is because then I have to smell like someone's perfume or Downey all day).
I sometimes wonder if it is my OCD cleanliness thing. MD mentioned I may
have to have platelets transfused and I am fretting about getting "cooties"
and germs (don't even worry about serious diseases just actually getting
someone's "GERMS" ) so seriously doubt I would do it. I have certainly
become a rather manic germaphobe lately. Some days worse than others and I
never used to fret about transfusions but with all my allergies and my
freaking allergies to fragrances I can just see getting someone's smelly
germs (VBG). I will have to have it multi-filtered!!! Damn, I'm itching
just thinking about it!

Bam, that reminds me of a comment my editor made about an older female
character in my book.

MY WORDS: The recruiter just stood there watching Jessie examine
Walker ever so slowly. He saw her start at his boss's long legs and
bring her eyes up inch by inch. Now and then, she would hesitate to
more fully explore an interesting section of his anatomy then continue,
ever upward.

MY EDITOR'S COMMENT: You know, women-even of child-bearing age-seldom
do this lingering scan upward the way men do; I find it hard to imagine
from an 87-year-old, no matter how sexual she continues to be.

So, how many of you women, no matter what your age, do like to examine
a fine specimen of a man in this way now and then? Come on, be honest,
even if you do it without his knowledge. I have, particularly when
he's walking away and has a nice...well, you get the idea.

Men, hush up! I can be a dirty old lady if I want.
