I noticed in another thread that you do podiatry.

My DIL has a painful bunion (she's only 36). I said to her, "Why don't you
get it operated on?" Her mother said, "Those operations are horrible, you're
laid up for months and they don't work!"

So... since I didn't know anything about them, I shut up.

Can you give me a little bit of background on bunion surgery?

And... everyone, please, I'm simply asking for some input from Anne. DIL
isn't going to have or not have surgery based on this post. K?
