I saw that; almost cried. I never cared too much for David Lee Roth, but
that was mostly due to his attitude, not musical talent. Once upon a time,
he had quite a voice, but this was just sad. It appeared that he was
straining even to hit midrange notes. I hope he fades quietly back into
the woodwork after this.

I still enjoy listening to the occasional early Van Halen tune, especially
on my bicycle rides where they help me keep my energy up.
Having witnessed Dave's apparent lack of honest self-appraisal in the past,
I rather doubt he is going to fade away in anything close to resembling a
dignified manner:).
