Janice, my PG&E bill actually went down from a high of $52.68 in April
to only $33.50 in May. I think it might be because I was able to turn
off my electric blanket during the day, what with the warmer weather.
Of course I still have it on at night since the temperature does drop
down to in the 50s, and I sleep all year round with an open window.
That plus three other blankets keeps me nice and toasty.
Even though it might get up in the 90s outside, my home stays cool
except on days when the temp breaks into the 100s. Thank goodness that
doesn't happen often up here since I'm one of those older (but not yet
elderly) people on a fixed income now.
