My Mom and Grandmother are all thinking about migrating up here to Minot
North Dakota to exscape the Amarillo Texas summers. She says it has been
just gwad awful hot there, yard is pretty much dust, and I said we are in
the 70s, with cooling light rains in the afternoons, cool breeze all day,
and tonight it will be down in the 50s in some places up here. Yard is nice
soft cool and green, and no stickers. Open all the windows in the house and
you have very nice little cool breeze that will lull you to sleep in
moments...
Also no crime, peacefull and quiet... Super walmart opens next month so
come on up... She asked me if I could hear her packing her bags in the
background...

With temperature up to 97 today and going into the three digits per
those disgustingly happy TV weathermen for the next couple days, I'm
trapped inside my home. Just going across the road to my mailbox
burned me like an overcooked hamburger, despite a slathering of
sunscream. That, by the way, is not a typo; the dry heat here in
northern California does make me want to scream, unlike that nice muggy
weather I use to enjoy back in New England.
