Re: Speaking of liability/attractive nuisances.

If she is that thin, she is most likely malnourished and therefore so is he.
I, too, feared Cody being fat because of my weight problem, but I fed him
properly. I was scared because he was a 10 pound baby so he was born huge.
I refused to start any food until my doctor said to as he was a weight
conscience doc as well. I introduced foods slowly, very slowly due to
family history of allergies. He is perfect weight and was so after 1st year
on and has maintained that. Raised him on lots of fruits and veggies
(something kids love if you expose them to them from the get go). Not a big
junk food eater never was, never had the stomach to handle it - like ma!
You still have to feed them, but it sounds like this woman has actual food
fears and food issues. I would say she needs a head doc, pronto!

First, let me say it again: They *worship and adore* this baby. They
waited until late in life to find each other and marry, then they lost
two babies before him. They wanted him so desperately that she was
determined to be the *most perfect mother ever*. It isn't because she
doesn't love him.

I got aholt of her when he was tiny and she was fretting over every
little thing. I told her "Love your baby and enjoy him. You are not
enjoying him! He'll be fine!" This is before he started shrinking
before our very eyes.

My mother weeps over this baby. My 200-pound husband wept over him. I
doubt he would have had a bite of food yet but the family crowded
around and told me "You have to do something! She's starving him!"

She is obsessed with her weight. She is terrified of being fat and
limits every bite she eats. You know how people are skinny, and then
other people are skinny in a different way. She is sort of
wasted-looking, very thin thighs and stuff. We all know that if you
force a baby to diet, he's going to get skinny. She missed that part.
At least he's eating now.

Now they're trying to get him to eat every way they can. They did
listen to me. It was just very late. :(

He ate one hot dog (no bun, I noticed) and he wanted another. She asked
me to give him one and I got a bun out. "No bun," she said. "We want to
concentrate on the protein." I told her she could do what she wanted,
but had she never seen a Wonder Bread commercial about building strong
bodies 12 ways? We were laughing about it but I meant it. These were
whole-wheat buns anyway, I think.

To her everlasting credit (she does want to do what's best by him) she
said if he wanted the bun he could have it, and he got the bun. I don't
know why nobody else will talk to her. My mother told her Sunday (over
his running through the house nude with his p*cker in his hand), "He's
going to think he can do that when he's 15!"

She is probably on the breast feeding board. I know she reads the net.
You know there can be loony people on that board. I visited it after he
was born when he screamed for about 8 weeks straight. I think some of
them have gotten ahold of her and encouraged this behavior.

My grandson, who is 3 going on 12, went to the birthday party last
year. He was 2 then, nearly 3. They had their back yard set up like a
beach. These loony parents stripped their kids naked and threw them in
the pool. Ages baby to 6 or so.

I thought we'd have to take Zak to therapy. He did NOT like that. He
jumped out of that wading pool like somebody had pooped in it. Maybe
I've gone overboard with him, but he did not want any part of that
crazy business. LOL.

These folks are trying for another baby. My mother said (through her
falling tears) "I will not keep my mouth shut this time. She is not
going to starve another child."

I dread it.
