Just out of curiosity - have you read anything about her state of mind afterwards? Her obvious remorse and acknowledging that she did something wrong is the reason they want to kill her.

Why does it matter if the preacher skates free or not? If he is not the one who told her to kill her kids then it doesn't matter one bit. I suppose you would want EVERYONE who thought she might have been capable of committing a crime tried and fried as well? I mean, after all, they all knew she was loopy and didn't do anything about it, huh? They all allowed it to happen by simply doing nothing to stop it, right?
