what, etc. What you tell someone doesn't mean a thing if it's not in the
will.

Make sure your executor knows where all your important papers are ... life
insurance policies, investment accounts, bank accounts, etc.

Alternatively, you could always do what most people do and die
intestate. This allows a complete stranger appointed by the state to
decide, by following the dictates of your state legislature, who gets
each of your possessions and how things will be divided. Generally not
a good idea...
